Ezio Tiburzio Anichini's legendary artworks give shape to this amazing Oracle deck, displaying all the style and charm of old Florentine lithographies - a chemical printing technique that acquired great fame during the 1800s, and was particularly popular among cover artists of Scena Illustrata, a historic Italian magazine dedicated to literature and high culture. The images portray angelic or holy figures filled with religious significance: in fact, each card hosts one of the 46 verses of the Litany of Loreto, perfectly inscribed into the halos and the backgrounds of the sacred scene. This ancient Latin litany takes its name from the shrine at the Basilica of Loreto, where it has been recited since the mid-sixteenth century.
